General Description:

COMBOTHERM Commercial Strength Blended Deicer is a unique and economical ice-melting blend, composed of calcium chloride, potassium chloride and sodium chloride. It comes in the form of small chips, half of which contain a green performance indicator. The color disappears as COMBOTHERM dissolves into effective deicing brine, giving a visual indication of speed of melting. The color also serves as a coverage indicator, helping to prevent over –application.

Applications:

COMBOTHERM Commercial Strength Blended Deicer is used for melting snow and ice on steps, sidewalks, driveways and parking areas.

Chemical Composition:

• Calcium Chloride, minimum; 70%
• Other Alkali Salts, nominal: 5%
• Colorant: < 0.1%

Chemical Prosperties:

• Releases heat on contact with water
• Absorbs moisture from humid air
• Colorant is water washable, non- toxic and biodegradable

Safety and Handling:

For brief contact, no precautions other than clean body – covering clothing should be needed. Selection of specific items, such as goggles, gloves and apron , will depend on the operation. Eye/face protection is recommended for dusty operations. Appropriate ventilation should be in place to keep atmospheric levels below 10 mg/m³. Avoid contact with leather.
